TERMS & CONDITIONS – VENUE RENTAL

Business Name: Council Bluffs Hall Rental

Operated by: The New Masonic Temple Association

By submitting a booking request or payment, you ("Renter") agree to the following terms:

1. Reservation & Payment

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date.

Dates are not reserved until the deposit is received and confirmed.

The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than [30 days] prior to the event.

Failure to pay the remaining balance may result in cancellation of the reservation without refund.

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

All deposits are non-refundable.

If the event is canceled by the Renter, any payments made beyond the deposit may be refunded at the discretion of Council Bluffs Hall Rental.

If the venue must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, all payments made will be refunded. Liability is limited to the amount paid.

3. Use of Premises

The facility may only be used for the purpose described in the booking.

Renter agrees to comply with all local, state, and federal laws.

No illegal activity, excessive noise violations, or unsafe behavior will be tolerated.

4. Capacity & Conduct

Renter agrees not to exceed the stated occupancy limits.

Renter is responsible for the conduct of all guests, vendors, and attendees.

Council Bluffs Hall Rental reserves the right to end an event early if rules are violated without refund.

5. Damage & Cleaning

Renter is responsible for any damage to the facility, furnishings, or property caused during the event.

A cleaning fee and/or security deposit may be required.

Additional charges may be applied if excessive cleaning or repairs are needed.

6. Setup & Breakdown

Access times will be agreed upon in advance.

Renter must vacate the premises by the agreed end time.

Additional time may result in extra fees.

7. Alcohol & Liability

Alcohol is not allowed.  Renter assumes full responsibility for compliance with all applicable laws.

Council Bluffs Hall Rental is not liable for any incidents related to alcohol consumption.

8. Insurance (Recommended)

Renter may be required or encouraged to obtain event liability insurance.

Proof of insurance may be requested for certain events.

9. Indemnification

Renter agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Council Bluffs Hall Rental, The New Masonic Temple Association and it associated members from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from the use of the facility.

10. Limitation of Liability

Council Bluffs Hall Rental is not responsible for:

Lost, stolen, or damaged personal property

Injuries sustained by guests during the event

Events outside of its control (weather, power outages, emergencies)

11. Agreement

By booking, the Renter acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.
